Weird Brain Entertainment - One Year of Weird!
Greetings Fellow Weirdos!
First, I want to thank you all for helping me get to this point!
We are at ONE YEAR OF WEIRD BRAIN ENTERTAINMENT! I launched this company one year ago with Sven The Groundhog: Savior From the Stars #1, after spending 16 years at Zenescope and deciding I needed a new challenge, I opted to unleash my weird thoughts on the world one issue at a time. It’s been fun, thrilling, exhausting, terrifying, anxiety-filled, freeing and somehow all smooshed together, an amazing experience!
I’m so thankful for all of you helping me make it this far. Making comics isn’t the easiest job, but it’s definitely fulfilling and after the first 6 projects launched and funded there are many more to come.
Hopefully as we continue to grow this year I can expand outside the 4 quarterly books(Sven the Groundhog, Hell of a Job, Anti-Chrisine & Frosted Up) we are producing now. I have a few other #1 issues completed just waiting for the right time to drop into our schedule too.
The Original Sven the Groundhog - Here is the original photo that birthed the idea of Sven the Groundhog. I found him sleeping in my backyard, though truthfully I thought he was dead, turns out he was just sunbathing. I took a picture and sent him to my girlfriend, Becky. She asked me what his name was(because I’m a weirdo and name all the weird creatures who take up residence in our backyard) and I told her it was obviously Sven, the groundhog that was sent here to save us all like she should have already known this. And it just kind of clicked and became our first launch.
But, not to bog everyone down with tons of me rambling, below are also some teases for the next project and covers!
